DR. KWASI TONGE

Dr Kwasi Kefentse Tonge is currently employed as the Learning Support and I.T. officer at the University of the West Indies (Five Islands Campus) and sits on the University of the West Indies Disability Planning Committee. Dr. Tonge has a Ph.D in disability studies, which was guided by research on The Social Model of Disability and examined the experiences of people with spinal Injury in the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

His research interests include Inclusivity in Education, Phenomenology in disabled individuals, legislations governing people with disabilities, the Social Model of Disability, inclusive curriculum and gender and disability.
